Amazing iPhone

iPhone is so popular that Apple sold 6 million phones in one year! Why is it so popular? It is very popular because it is one the most incredible handheld devices which has several features not present in other wireless phones. iPhone has high resolution 2megapixel camera, fantastic widescreen video iPod and along with this a tiny powerful internet communication device. This revolutionary hardware and software features make it numero uno in wireless phone products.

The best feature of iPhone which makes it iPhone is the lack of physical keyboard. Instead of ugly keyboard it has a three and a half inch gorgeous super high resolution multi touch screen. You just need touch of a finger to operate making it very comfortable to use. Another excellent feature built in sensors. When you rotate the phone from portrait to landscape, the image gets adjusted automatically .This is because of accelerometer which detects the rotation and adjusts appropriately. Also it has light sensor which adjusts brightness depending upon the ambient lighting situation and a proximity sensor which switches off the display if it is taken too closer to the face.

The iPhone has a calendar, address book, alarm clock, calculator, weather forecaster, stock tracker, traffic reporter, rss reader and stopwatch. It also consists of a flashlight and a pocket mirror. Third party software is available which can turn your iPhone into a musical keyboard, voice recorder, eBook reader, and calculator etc. Not only you can play high resolution 3 D computer games but also the tilt feature makes playing even more enjoyable.

Above all this the sleek design, mind-blowing highly attractive colors and smooth finishing make it highly irresistible to touch. What are you waiting for? Grab an iPhone today!

iPhone docking tricks

The iPhone docking system which is liked by many serves many purposes. This has a charger, speakers and several other cool things. Many use this mainly for charging but th speaker system that you get with this is extremely cool. You can use your iphone as a radio with that. You can also snap photos without shakes when the iPhone is docked.

iPhone docking tricks

You can use the iPhone deck to sync the device with our computer to use your computer resources through iPhone. If the dock software is installed, transferring the songs is a drag and drop task. Another cool thing about the iPhone is that you’ll be charging the device while you are transferring data.

You should take advantage of the dock to play some of your songs. This has some inbuilt speakers which are good enough for some easy listening songs. But if you really want to kick some butt, you could connect to superior speakers form the line out port. When it comes to playing music, the docking system does provide a few great options to widen the use of iPhone. Some people also feel that using the iPhone cradle acts as a subwoofer sometimes. But that can be decided by the users as we feel that the difference is too subtle to make a comment on.

According to Apple, iPhone is designed to play songs better when it is docked. This is due to a technology they use called audio porting. That definitely sounds good.

Charging the iPhone

Charging the iPhone

Your iPhone has an advanced battery inside it that takes up significant space inside. The
battery is an integral part of the iPhone and you need to keep it charged well. Most of the
applications on the iPhone sap quite a lot of power. If you use applications like safari
which uses 3G, then you will be draining out the battery very soon. On the other hand if
you only are using your iPhone to play songs, you will have a longer time to work with
the battery. You should look up our article on tips to increase battery life.

Charging the iPhone

However you use the iPhone, you have to charge it regularly so that it contains enough
juice to keep the iPhone running. Generally you will have to recharge your iPhone at least
once every day. There are two ways of charging your iPhone.

Using the computers USB jack: You can use the power cable to connect the iPhone to
your Mac or PC to charge the iPhone. This is the same charger that you use to transfer
songs through iTunes. You might want to make sure that your desktop system or your
laptop does not go to sleep when you are charging your iPhone.

Though the AC charger: You can use the iPhones AC charger to connect directly to a
power outlet. This adapter is the little white cube with two prongs on it.

iPhone Dictionary

iPhone Dictionary

Whatever may be the reason we tend to commit grammatical or spelling mistakes when writing letters, articles, and messages. Bad business proposals with these errors can end up the relationship with clients. So it is very important to have an assistant who corrects our mistakes and Apple provides one virtual assistant always at your service. I am talking about the dictionary with spell checker facility.

iPhone consists of a fully functional dictionary built in to it. The dictionary is dynamic and learns about new words. When you start typing, the dictionary will be comparing match able words in the dictionary and if you commit a mistake, then a suggestion pops beneath the word. The suggestion is provided whenever it finds a match or partial match. If you wanted the same word then it can be selected by tapping the space bar twice otherwise you can dismiss the suggestion .Once a suggestion is not accepted the dictionary thinks it is a new word and records in custom words directory. This feature is excellent when you have to include words related chemical names or new technologies or inventions which will not be present in the dictionary. When you type the same word, in the halfway mark only it displays the correct word which you can simply select and avoid repetitive typing. There is one drawback though and that is dictionary forgets custom words if not used frequently. So if you want important words related to your work to be saved then you need to use it frequently. I wonder whether a real human is trapped inside and providing the suggestions. Built dictionary is an amazing feature.

Transferring files getting easier

May 16th, 2009

Transferring files getting easier

As the number of iPhone users is increasing, the number of goodies available with iPhone is also increasing. This of course has the huge advantage that there are many things more you can do now with your iPhone. To understand what we mean you should look at the new file transfer software available for iPhone.

A new software called iPhoneDrive has made file transfer so much easier than it was ever before. With this the following algorithm can be used to transfer files.
 Download
 Install
 Double click
 Drag n drop files!

Apart from the easy drag and drop way to move files, you can also use a more intelligent way of creating folders and specifying the exact location where the new files must be created/saved. You can download this software form www.ecamm.com for $9.00.

Remember, this makes transfer of files very easy but is good mainly for non-music files. For transferring your music we would still as you to use iPhone as it keeps all the files in sync. This software is not available for windows though. If you use your iPhone with a Mac, you will enjoy the experience of using this cool new software.

iPhone car kits

iPhone car kits

The iPhone works beautifully with Bluetooth car kits, too. The pairing procedure
generally goes exactly as a normal pairing process with an iPhone and a Bluetooth
earpiece. You first make the car discoverable and then enter the passcode on the iPhone.
Once you do this a connection between your car system and your iPhone will be setup via
Bluetooth.

iPhone car kits

Once youre paired up, you can answer an incoming call by pressing a button on your
steering wheel. Of course your car should have the system to support this. You make
calls either from the iPhone or from the car itself. Most Bluetooth compatible car systems
have a keypad that allows you to key in the number you wish to dial.

When Bluetooth is turned on but the earpiece isnt, or when the earpiece isnt nearby, the
Bluetooth (looks something like a capital B) icon appears in gray. When its connected
and working right, the earpieces battery gauge appears on the iPhones status bar. Of
course, studies show that its the act of driving while conversing that causes accidents -
not actually holding the phone. So the hands-free system is less for safety than for
convenience and compliance with state laws. This, therefore, increases the safety of you
and your family when you are driving with an iPhone paired with your car.

Cool iPod features

Cool iPod features

The iPhone is still an iPod and it retails all of its iPoddish features. Some of the nice
useful features that make listening to songs really fun on the iPod are listed here:

Volume limiter: You might have heard your parents say that loud music is bad for your
ears. We tell you the same thing. Loud music is not good for your ears. Sometimes when
you are in loud places like an airplane or a train, you often end up increasing the volume
so high that your eardrums are taking a serious beating. To help your ears be healthy over
a long period of time, iPhone has the volume limiter which is password protected.
Sound check: This feature smoothes out the master volume levels of tracks from different
albums, helping to compensate for differences in their recording levels. It doesn’t deprive
you of peaks and valleys in the music volume. Instead, it affects only the baseline level.
Equalization: Like any good music player, the iPhone offers an EQ function: a long list of
presets, each of which affects your music differently by boosting or throttling back
various frequencies. You can choose an EQ setting on the iPhone according to the genre
of music that you like.
Lyrics: If you’ve pasted lyrics for a song into iTunes on your compute you can make
them appear on the iPhone screen during playback just by tapping the album art on the
playback screen. You can flick though the lyrics while the song plays. You can also make
use of a number of sites that fetch lyrics for you when you are playing a song.
TV Output: You can also play your iPhone videos on the big TV! All you need to do is
go buy an Apple composite AV cable.

Controlling music playback

Controlling music play back

Listening to music on the iPhone is very nice experience. You have a wonderful interface
to control the songs you are listening to as well as a very rich method of controlling the
quality of music play back. Let us discuss some of the controls that Apple has provided
along with the music player.

Play / pause: This is the regular button to play or pause. Nothing special about that, but
here is something new. You can use the earphone clicker to do this functionality. A single
click can be used to toggle between play and pause.

Previous / Next: These perform the same function as the buttons on iPod. If you press the
previous button while you are at the middle of a song then you go to the beginning of the
song. If you already are in the beginning then you go to the beginning of the previous
song. Pressing the next button takes you to the beginning of the next song. You can also
skip to the next son by double clicking the earphone clicker.

Loop: You can tap this once to loop though an entire album. If you tap this twice, you
will loop through the current song. Tapping for the third time turns off looping.

Shuffle: If you want to randomize the order of songs being played, just tap this.

Practice typing on iPhone

Now that you have your iPhone, you would have realized that typing in it is one of the biggest challenges. Some of you may be struggling while others may have just become proficient at it. This article is intended for both categories of iPhone junkies.

If you think you are proficient at typing in your iPhone, go to www.iphonetypingtest.com and actually test how well you type. This will be an interesting venture as this site provides two types of tests:

* Speed test: This gives you a sentence and your goal is to type any thing you want as quickly s possible. This is a simple, brute speed test. Some of the proficient iPhone guys might enjoy this test. For others, this is a good place to start learning. Exercise those fingers. This is a freestyle test. So, knock yourselves out!
* Accuracy test: This as it says is an accuracy test. You are given a sentence and you have to type it in as accurately as you can. This again is a timed test and it has the typing assistant and everything you normally use. Once you are finished with this you get an accuracy report showing your speed in typing. So what did you think of this test?

This site also has a section on typing tips that are pretty meaningful and useful. You should check it out sometime.
