Disappearing messages on iPhone

Some of you might get completely alarmed when you see that some of your mails in your
inbox are not visible anymore. It looks like the Apple iPhone automatically deleted some
of the old messages to make space for newer messages. If you got alarmed by this, then
we would kindly suggest that you relax and read on.

iPhone has been designed to make your life easier. The iPhone tries to keep the number
of mails you can view manageable so that you can view only the required amount of
mails without having to spend 5 precious minutes flicking down the list of messages on
your iPhone.

By default, iPhone only shows 25 mail messages. May this be your inbox, outbox, trash
or drafts. Older messages are auto deleted only form your iPhone while the mails are still
there on the server. Even if you are an iPhone veteran, this is some information that you
should know.

You can actually change the default setting of 25 mails to a different size. To do this go
the home screen and select settings. Under settings tap the mail button. Here you can set
the recent messages to a selectable count between 25 and 200.
