General trouble shooting tips

Here are some very general trouble-shooting steps for iPhones. You could use these when iPhone applications start getting cranky.

1. Recharge: The first thing you should always do id make sure your iPhone is properly recharged and is ready to be used. If your battery is low or there is any problem at all, recharge it. Also while recharging the iPhone, you should know that it is advisable to ust the USB port directly on your CPU as this provides more power to the iPhone than any other port, say, in the keyboard, monitor or USB hub.
2. Restart: Most problems can be solved by restarting the iPhone. To restart the iPhone you should just press and hold the sleep/wake button. Now slide the red slider to turn off your iPhone. Now it is extremely important to wait a few long seconds before turning your iPhone on again. Press and hold the sleep/wake button again for a few seconds again till you get the Apple logo. If your iPhone freezes for any reasons, press and hold the home button for 6-10 seconds. Now you can go back to your home screen.
3. Reset your iPhone: Resetting your iPhone is different from restarting it. To reset you just need to press the sleep/wake button while pressing the home button. This will allow the iPhone to get itself together after a crash.
4. Remove content: After trying all the above steps, if you still have a problem, you should try removing some content to create more space. You should first sync all applications with iTunes and then try removing some files. Now is the time when you have to get rid of suspicious files. If you think there is some problem with a particular file/application, try getting rid of it and checking if your iPhone is better off without it.
5. Restore the final alternative: If nothing works, you should restore your iPhone to factory settings and start from the point where your iPhone was new
