International typing
International typing
You have the option of switching to any language keypad with the Apple iPhone. To
access this functionality, here is what you have to do:
* Go to the home screen
* Tap the settings button
* Select general settings
* Here select the option international
* Tap Language here to set the iPhone primary language (menu, buttons, etc)
To make a keyboard layout of a different language appear, you should select the
Keyboards option. Here you have a list of keyboard layouts to select from. You have
Russian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and what not.
With Chinese and Japanese you have some very special options. As the number of
characters in these languages are very high they have a method in which you can just
draw the alphabet on the screen and the correct alphabet is written. If there were to be a
keyboard that had all Chinese alphabets, it will have to be a 65 inch keypad.
When you have selected an international language, you have an additional globe symbol
to the left of the space bar. With this you can easily switch between languages. A good
thing about the iPhone is that you will see the keys the actual letters on them. This is a
feature that is there on no other cell phone at the moment.
