Calling problems with iPhone

With the Apple iPhone, if you are having any problems with calling, whether you are using, Wi-Fi or the EDGE network with 3G, the following pointers may help. Firstly we have the short and simple methods that you could use with your iPhone.

* Check the signal: If the signal icon on the top shows that you do not have any signal, you are probably out of coverage area. (Duh)
* Make sure you’re not in Airplane more: Check the top of the display. If a small airplane is displayed, you are in airplane mode which does not allow you to use any applications that uses networks. You should get out of this mode to use the iPhone.
* Try moving around: Change your location, by a few feet at least. This can change the strength of your signal.
* Turn airplane mode on and then off: This is a method to turn off your antennas and then turn it on again. Use ‘Home screen > Settings > Airplane mode on/off’ to change the settings.
* Restart your iPhone: Hold the menu button pressed down for a few seconds to restart your iPhone. Try to make the call once again.
* Make sure the sim card is inserted properly: Use a pin to remove the Sim card from the bottom of the iPhone. Put it back in and try making the call again.
