The maps application in iPhone has perhaps been one of the biggest hits. This application is super handy and works like magic when you need it. Here are some tips about the things you can do with the maps application:
� Find nearby locations and businesses: When you need to look for a location or a place you just need to open the map application and type in the location you wish to find. Once you have done that you can see a bunch of red pins that shows the nearby locations that match your search.
� Viewing, panning and zooming. The maps application lets you zoom into the map at various levels. You can have a look at the country boundaries or you can look at the street level details by just pinching in or pinching out the screen. You can pan the map by dragging it or flicking it.
� Different kinds of maps: You can see a satellite view of places or you can see the graphical representation of streets with these maps. You can make this selection at the bottom right corner of the maps application.
� Finding directions: This is very similar to searching a location but you type in the �to� location and the �from� location. This gives you the detailed information on how you need to travel and it also give you the directions on the map. When you search for directions, the application finds the shortest path.
