The main screen is called the home screen. There are 16 icons on the home screen and these are used to operate the iPhone. We will know a little about the icons in this article. The 16 icons are as follows

3>Photo: This software is used to manage photos taken by iPhone camera and also pictures transferred from computer. This is very powerful software with variety of photo editing features.
4>Camera icon: Used to shoot photo with iPhone 2MP camera.
5>YouTube icon: Connects to famous YouTube web site from which you can watch videos.
6>Stocks: Application to monitor stocks in real time.
7>Maps: Gets you satellite imagery of location and provides you with the direction to visit the place.
8>Weather: Provides you with weather information in real-time.
9>Clock: This software shows you local time and also the time of other cities which you may require.
10>Calculator: Software to calculate.
11>Notes: To make notes of something important. This can be mailed or used for future references
12>Settings: Software to adjust your iPhone preferences
13>Phone: This makes your iPhone to be used as phone.
14>Mail: To send and receive emails.
15>Safari: This is a web browser to browse internet.
